Major Position ResponsibilitiesThis position will be located at the new GD-OTS facility located in Mesquite.Summary : Designs, develops and implements nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component or system without causing damage.

Records, analyzes and reports test results. Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Perform non-destructive tests on objects or materials to examine and attest functionality and performance.

Identifies errors and defects in equipment.Use of ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.

May be responsible for testing mechanical compoinents, storage, or transport vessels; Like pipelines or containers.Impact of the Role : Performs manual tasks according to established proceduresRequires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational processWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelinesWorks with close supervisionFor Mesquite Operations : This will be for Second Shift Position.

Basic QualificationsEducation : Vocational / Technical Training DegreePreferred : Vocation / Technical Training DegreeDiscipline / Major : Technical school or an applicable skilled trade program0-3 years prior experienceKnowledge / Skills / Abilities : Technical ExpertiseProblem-Solving Skills and Time Management SkillsManual dexterity.

Required Newar Vision Acuity and Color PerceptionAdditional Certifications : NAS 410 Certification Level 1Preferred : Experience with start ups, such as project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions is desired.

Physical Demands : Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and / or computer for extended periods of time.
